Semi Permanent Make UpPermanent make up has been around since the early Incas and Egyptians, but only first introduced into the UK in the mid 80’s and becoming ever more popular. Also known as Micropig-mentation, Permanent Cosmetics or Cosmetic Tattooing is cosmetic enhancement procedure that uses advanced techniques to implant ‘hypoallergenic’ pigments into the ‘shallow’ dermal layer of the skin (0.50mm) using state of the art equipment. When your procedure is completed, the colour will appear darker than the final result. This is because the colour is in both the epidermis and the dermis. The outermost layer of skin, the epidermis, is always shedding and renewing itself, the colour in the top layer will flake during the healing process. The implanted pigment will gradually fade with time, depending upon a person's age, colour implanted, etc.

How long does it take? Half an hour to three hours is the minimum amount of time we are prepared to spend, but treatment times vary according to what is required.
How long will it last? Skin types and external factors contribute to the length of time that the Semi Permanent Make-up lasts. Generally, darker colours remain unaffected in your skin for longer. Natural or lighter colours are often more vulnerable to the effects of the sun, swimming and breakdown by the body’s natural response. Does it Hurt? Topical anaesthetics are applied to the skin before, and during the procedure to assure you of the most comfortable experience possible. Many clients describe the sensation as a “tingling” feeling. On a scale of 1-10, most rate the discomfort between 0-3 to 5.
How Long will it take to recover? Generally, the colour will be most visible for the first three days. You may also experience light to moderate swelling, especially with eyeliner and lip procedures. After the initial three days, the healing skin will begin to gently flake off and the treated area will lighten. In many cases it may be too light so as our guarantee to achieve the best possible results for you, one month later we offer a second treatment completely free of charge to refine and perfect.
What can expect for post treatment? Treated areas will initially look slightly dark and lighten after a few days. A month after your initial treatment, a follow-up appointment is made, and any adjustments will be completed.
Will it look natural? Yes, the healed result will look very natural. The healing process can take up to 21 days. Remember, your permanent make-up will look more dramatic for the first 3-7 days. With permanent make-you can last anything from 1 – 5 years dependant on factors such as age, exposure to U.V. and swimming. In the initial two weeks care should be taken not to expose the treated areas to strong UVA rays, chlorine, salts and saunas, as these will reduce the life of your treatment. Usually clients who wish to maintain the colour intensity of their enhancement will return every 18-20 months for a ‘refresher’ treatment. These treatments take much less time to complete, the price of which is therefore reflected accordingly Some clients feel no discomfort at all - others feel minimal discomfort. Topical anaesthetics (e.g. creams) are used to minimise dis-comfort before the treatment begins. Most people will feel nothing at all, while a few feel a slight, prickly sensation. Also the needles we use are so fine that trauma is at an absolute minimum and there is no bleeding. The minimal discomfort that a client may experience is definitely outweighed by the stunning results that will be achieved.
Although a little dark when the treatment is first carried out, this will soften by up to 30% during the healing process which will be between 5 and 14 days depending on the individual’s unique recovery rate and how closely the ‘post-procedure’ care instructions are adhered to.

If you are an addict to spray tan, then the following is a refresher on the dos and dont's;
Before your spray tan
On your arrival Your therapist will instruct you on what clothing to remove, normally she will ask you to remove everything except your underpants. This is a personal choice but if you would rather keep your bra on, tell her, or if you would rather have an all-over tan, ask her if she minds you removing your pants. You will be given disposable flip flops to protect the soles of your feet from colouring.
You will stand in front of your therapist and she will simply spray you all over with tan. This should only take 5-10 minutes, during which it is a pleasant sensation and you will feel very re-freshed. After spraying is finished, you will be asked to stand for a few minutes to dry before dressing.
